Trinity Alps Snow Depth??

Does anybody know how much snow is on the peaks in the Granite Peak/Gibson Peak area? And trail condiitions?

The USFS periodically posts a conditions report during the hiking season. Looks like they've changed their website around this year. A little googling and poking around came up with this -

We are pleased to report that the water content from this winter’s precipitation is well above normal. As of April 1st, the average water content of the Trinity Alps snowpack was 170% of normal. This increased snowpack is largely confined to the upper elevations. Right now, the snow starts in earnest above 4500’.


Looks like great weather this weekend though ..
