I'd like to climb Carstinsz one day. However, the fact that one group was allowed to climb while another was denied access does not give me much confidence that everything is stable over there. My perception is that you are still taking a high risk booking a trip to Carstinsz. What I'd really like to see is the guide companies give a money back guarantee if your expedition is prohibited from climbing. Short of that, my comfort level is pretty low.
