Heavy snow everyplace but the Palmer Divide in Colorado. :( This winter has been far too dry. If we don't get a few big dumps soon, we're going to be roasting (wild lands fire and drought) this summer.

My envy goes to all of you with too much snow this year.

I kind'a noticed. UK still in the Frrreeeze. Little rain in 2 1/2 months, but plenty of snowfalls. Maybe it's Snowball Earth if we get beyond the tipping point:

by June, I expect we will be sweltering with a record summer 8)

I'm guessing they shipped some snow from up north into FL... :D

none here in northern BC either. It is well above freezing and blue skies. Has been since early Jan. Just got back from New Mexico/Colorado, not much there either and the ice is a bit fragile. My bases are fairly thrashed from ABasin. Taos was marginally better. A skiff in the Red Mtn pass area and the avi was considerable. Washington state mtns are reported (from my climbing partner) to be so icy it is hard to get an ice screw in so you can belay yourself for a ski run. I think we missed this season.

Best season in years here for the NC mountians... 1 to 2 feet on the ground at most elevations above 3000 ft. Mount Mitchell officially with 40 inches this morning. Forecast is for even more to fall over the next few days :D .

DC and Baltimore have had the most snow for a winter on record. DC has had more snow than the total of the previous 5 winters. We're expecting another 2 to 4 inches on monday.

It has really disrupted me. I'm used to hiking here in Virginia without any equipment now I find I desperately need snowshoes just to walk almost any normal trail. Pain in the ass.

dude it sucks here in washington. One of the worst snow bases we have had in a long time... no snowball earth man haha. I did see some sick rocks a couple of weeks ago that show evidence of snowball earth.

Is that right? I wonder when the last time that happened was.

Jerez shuts down. It's been raining a lot from mid December, also in the provinces of Jaén, Málaga, Cádiz (where is Jerez de la Frontera), Huelva, Badajoz and Cáceres. Some rain quantities for 2 months are similar to those of an average year now

Yep, even coastal western Europe has had quite a bit of snow (it's usually more like 3 days a year).
