Why not just leave it unnamed? I think the vast number of nameless and beautiful mountains is one of the the things that gives Alaska its special appeal, that sense that there are still places on this planet where you can feel like you discovered something. But if they insist on naming it, I agree that Washburn would be a more worthy and fitting choice.

I thought Waterman might be more appropriate, after Jonny Mallon Waterman who left his tracks all over the south side of the mountain. As a fitting tribute for the family name - Guy Waterman, Jonny's father, was an influential climber and author from back east.
