Depending just who you believe they were about 10m below it and 30m from it, horizontally. To me, that is too far from the summit to say they summited. Summits on Manaslu, Lhotse, G2 and other peaks have been denied for less distance than that. Personally I don't care about a metre or three, especially if it's dangerous, but beyond 5m vertically? Hmm. There are some issues with this climb though, in terms of record-keeping (for those interested in such things - and I'm not saying anyone should be).
Summit certificates are irrelevant to me personally, and are no reliable record of anything in Himalayan climbing in general.
