Writing a book, going on talk shows, giving motivational speeches to corporations for $5000-$15000 a pop, getting more money from a subpar garmet manufacturer. If not for those items this fellow wouldn't even have the slightest intrest in this.

I don't see what the big fuss is all about. If some guy(s) wants to do all 14 8,000 meter peaks and is able to get funding for it, more power to them. It'd be wrong if they were making themselves out to be the second coming of Reinhold Messner, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I'd see an issue if they hid the fact that +3,000 porters were there to help, but again, that's not the case.

This is a big physical challenge, even with support. I've never been to he Himalayas or Karakorums, but I can't imagine K2, Nanga Parbat, or Annapurna being easy by any route, whether you do it expedition or alpine style.

People that climb them alpine style still use a load of porters.

Maybe you are right. Hope not.

You have to watch the video again, they say it is:

Got it?!

Fools like Paris Hilton, Miley Cirus and that Kardashian family seem 'kind of stupid' to me and the way they act does not make me think highly of them (a view which I assume/hope is shared with all sane human beings), yet they keep doing what they do.

People in this world (and companies) have different methods of running and enjoying their lives.......
