Wouter, nobody rope on the normal route of Jbel Toubal. If you are not sure about your girlfriend performance then aim at another objective such as only approaching to Refuges du Toubkal or a hike visiting berebers' small villages

Not much to do with her performance. I just want to make her FEEL safe. Having something to hold at all times and having the knowledge that there is a rope does a lot for some people.

Put up a few pictures of what you encountered! I have a daughter who is dying to do this, and November '10 is a possible time.

IMHO, a full day in Marrakesh is more than enough. The vendors are extremely aggressive, which makes visiting the market in town a drag. I was in Germany/Italy for work in Nov 2004 and visited Marrakesh on a brief side trip (made even shorter by the all too frequent Italian transit strikes). I didn't bring climbing gear so I just did a short solo trek in the Atlas, staying at Berber villages. There was snow on the passes at this time. Hope you make it to Toubkal. The High Atlas are definitely worth a visit and much more pleasant than the cities.

Yes! Put up some new pics or a trip report.
This peak has remained high on my list of mountains. I'd be very interested to hear about the in-country logistics as well.

Just the tiniest little bit.

I've got another exam on saturday, that's why I've been postponing the TR. But it's coming up, no worries!
