I'm planning on doing the Zermatt to Chamonix mountaineers haute route in a couple of weeks and I was wondering if anyone knew the difficulty level of the Stockji Glacier. It's the only glacier that might give me some worries and I really don't want to bring along a lot of rope and a rack if I don't need it. So is there usually a well cramponed trail through the crevasse fields or should I look to bring some gear and rope with to get myself through?
