ICE CONDITIONS: Jochberg, Bavaria

Yesterday our party climbed the Right Gully (WI3) on Jochberg. The recent warm period is thinning out the ice, but the climbing was stil good. With the exception of one short, very thin pitch, short screws allow protection on the roughly 6 pitch climb.
More difficult climbs on the left side of the Jochberg north side looked good from a distance, with some ice towers and mixed steps.
