Where to base in Spain for 2 months in winter?

I want to live in Spain for 2 months later this year. Probably some time between Oct and Feb 2014. Anybody know which town or city would make a good base. I'd be interested in cragging and mountaineering, keeping in mind the season. I like rock and glaciers/snow. My significant other is looking for a flamenco school so Andalusia may be ideal. From Cadiz to Barcelona, what places offer convenience and adventure?

Regarding the cragging and mountaineering part, I'd say somewhere close to the Pyrenees. Can't tell much about the flamenco part, sorry about that...
If considering Andalusia, keep Málaga and Granada in mind

Granada though there are no glaciers near. May you enjoy the beautiful Sierra Nevada... Almería could be another good town. If what you want is AT skiing on glaciers go to Benasque (Huesca). You won't listen flamenco there but near that village is the largest glacier in Spain
