Camping gas / stove fuel in Podgorica (Montenegro)?

Hello all,

We are going to camp in the Durmitor national park in August. We are coming to Montenegro by airplane, so we will need to buy liquid fuel in Podgorica and we need to be sure that it will fit to our stove. We know three types of liquid fuel cartridges: pierceable, clip-on and screw-in. We have a screw-type stove so we need screw-in cartridges.

- Do you know a shop in Podgorica where camping gas / stove fuel is sold?
- Do they sell screw-in cartridges?
- What is their street address? We will not have much time so we'll need to find the shop quickly.
- What are their hours of operation?

Thanks in advance :-)

Hello all,

Sorry to confuse you, in fact we are looking for gas, not liquid fuel. Propane/isobutane or something :-)

I went to Durmitor 5 years ago and we bought our skrew-type gas bottle in Zabljak itself. So if you don't find it in Podgorica, you would still be able to find it there.

Thanks Robin89! People keep telling me that it's very hard to find screw bottles in the Balkans, but your information is very good news for our group.

By the way, Robin89, can you please give some hints on how to find that shop in Zabljak?

We have found them!

Screw-in cartridges can be bought in Zabljak, in the VOLI supermarket, at the second floor. They are rather large (500 g).

Sadly it was after we returned from the mountains. :-D Before the mountains we searched all other places and finally decided to use a petrol stove, buying petrol at a local gas station.
