I was planning to climb Mont Blanc later this summer via the Gouter route, staying in Les Houches and taking the Bellevue lift up part of the way. However now that the lift has been closed due to the fire, I was wondering if there were any alternative routes up which are in a reasonable distance to Les Houches? I won't have access to a car while there, so anything in walking distance would be ideal.
