My son and I are planning on attending. Maybe my wife and daughter, but my son and I for sure.

Great news! See you there!

Unfortunately, cp0915 and his better half won't be attending.

Did you try Montrose, CO; Durango, CO; Farmington, NM; Telluride, CO? Grand Junction, CO could cut the driving in half too.

I can get from Minneapolis to Denver for about $200 pretty much any time. I did check other locations but you can't get close to that and I don't mind a bit of road tripping.

Perhaps I'll bring my son as well Scott. I'll see if he's up for it, he has a few peaks under his belt but nothing like yours

Great! It'll be nice to see you again! Remember, Ellen and I move slower than you guys.

To All Attendees:

Arrangements have been made with Handlebars Restaurant. They are expecting us! Currently, our reservation is for 20 people. They will have a table/corner area set aside for us. Some attendees have not yet announced whether they are attending the dinner. Be sure to let me know so we will have space available for you!

Reminder: I'll be filming for a video documentary of the event. I'm hoping some or all of you will participate! Think of what you'd like to say concerning:

Are SP gatherings fun and worth while?
Do you have a favorite outing or climb?
What are your impressions of Silverton & the San Juans?
Did you like the route?

I would consider traveling on Thursday night and climbing something additional on Friday before the gathering.

Possibly. Unfortunately, I won't know for sure until early June. If I were to leave on Thursday, it would probably have to be after I get off work at 10pm, which means rolling into Silverton around 4am.

Not going to be able to make it this year. I just got back from the Tetons and have too much to get caught up on (plus I am working an American Cancer Society fund raiser on Saturday.)

18th or 19th

So I might be heading down to the San Juans this coming weekend. I will probably try for some 14ers but might take a day or two off from work following the weekend. What are some plans for after the weekend? It would be nice to do some 13ers down there also.

Gliderman will be there for dinner Friday evening (and Saturday evening) :D I plan to hike to Coloumbine Lake Friday with a group from Durango, which should give me plenty of time to get to Silverton by dinner. And, hope to hike either Uncompaghre or Engineer Thursday (7/15). The rains have moved out for a few days, so gotta make good hiking while the moisture stays away. Too much north winds for fun gliding, so will put the feet to work for a while.

I'm still going, but not sure where I will be camping at this point, so I probably will just meet you all at the trailhead sometime after 6am when you arrive. Don't wait up for me in town.
