how difficult is using grizzly gulch to get from johnson creek to the basin above below jupiter mountain ?

I can't speak from experience but on the TOPO that route looks steep, possibly cliffed out. I can tell you that you can access Jupiter from Johnson Creek without any issues, in fact I did a write up about it here on SP a few years ago:
