GoLite is hosting Friends of Berthoud Pass for an Avalanche Class at their Denver store on January 24th from 7pm - 9pm.
Friends of Berthoud Pass will provide an overview of avalanche awareness, avoidance, forecasting and rescue. Topics such as route selection, hazard minimization, rescue, preparedness and terrain analysis are covered in the presentation.
The class is open to the public and FREE of charge. No registration is required. Donations to Friends of Berthoud Pass are gratefully accepted and benefit their grassroots avalanche education program.
