First ascent of Peak 7071

It appears that Peak 7071 has finally been climbed (two years ago in fact):

It is certainly one of the most impressive peaks in Colorado:

The face you are looking at is over 1 1/2 times higher than the Diamond on Longs.

Very cool, Scott, thanks for sharing! Certainly an impressive feat for the climbers; I've stared up at that peak from Warm Springs many times and wondered if anyone would ever manage it.

I would never guess, pictures just don't do justice. I'd love to see it in real life.

Rad looking peak for sure, looks uber sick dawg. When you say 1.5 times higher than the diamond, are you talking about the diamond proper or the east face of longs (including the north chimney). I think the diamond is only about 800 feet high, but the whole east face is closer to 2000 feet. So is Peak 7071's sick face 1200 feet high, or closer to 3000. Either way it's definitely burly.

The face is about ~2000 feet high.
