Hello all,

This is my first post here in the Colorado SP forum so bear with me. Myself and a friend from work will be attempting a climb of Torreys via Kelso ridge on Saturday morning. We are planning to drive to the Stevens Gulch TH tommorow night (10/24/14) and sleeping there in order to get an early start on the climb. This will be our first 14er and i think it's safe to say we are both pretty darn excited. From what i understand the mountain received a dusting from the last little low pressure system that moved through a few days ago and i was told that snow stuck above 12,000 feet, and i'm curious as to how that snow might have affected the ridge route. I've looked at the weather and overnight temps have hovered well above freezing so i would imagine with that present and daytime heating that most of the snow would be melted off of the rocks by Saturday. I'f anyone has any input or wisdom to share about 'possible' conditions it would be much appreciated. We hope to see other's on the trail and i would imagine with how nice the weather is predicted to be, that might be a very real possibility.
