Weather forecast looks pretty decent next week -- I would think it should be great.

Say hello to the Sierra Clubbers for me :)

I think the Sierra Club is there on Sunday, They can pick up my trail beer cans and cigarette butts

Regarding the Sierra Club, I have a short story. My only personal contact with them came in about 1998 at Bass Lake (just south of Yosemite & due east of Merced) where a large group of us were camping. About 5 families with maybe 10 or so kids. The SC had some pow pow several sites past ours on a dusty dirt road. They must have had 3 or 4 diesel Mercedez amongst them and averaged probably 35 mph on this road. Constant dust in our site not to mention our kids trying to ride their bikes while they used the place as a raceway in their diesel cars. It stopped when I laid some good size branches across the road.

Troy, the chute will need to be on crampons and a ice axe. I may be going from Santa Rosa and there may be someone in Novato if a carpool works. (I also have extra crampons and axe if need be) Scott

I once ran into a dude out there with a machete and some jeans...said he was gonna spend the night...but do whatever you want..if you're a noob you should go the noob way on the mule trail anyway, you know the way, the way the SC goes...I think gomez wants the crescent moon, so do I...

What time?

Well, the jeans will stay home, machete too. I'll follow everyone but the SC (even though they mean nothing to me so far), I'm a trooper.

Thanks Scott, I'll borrow whatever I need. And carpool is great, but Mother's Day is Sunday, so I'll catch hell if the timing is such that I'm not back. Not sure when you'll be getting back to SR?

I gotta be back for Mothers Day also. North Bay carpool would be great if it works for everyone. How does 9-930 at the trailhead sound. I also have alot of extra gear if anyone needs anything.

I'm out. Gonna head to the cabin in Truckee and ski Tallac both days. There is just too much snow to pass up! Scott

I thought I had scheduled myself NOT to be on the weekend work schedule. But I'm working Saturday, I've asked some of the employees to take the shift but they've made plans. So you guys will have to razz me about the crampons and the noobs climbing skills another time. Thanks Gomez, Squishy, DynamoKiev and Scott for your offering of advice, gear, etc.

I'll be on Tallac Saturday also. Got to take advantage of the late season snow!
