You can certainly get from Muir to Langley, although there is no trail along the ridge areas. It will be cross-country travel and easily doable with no technical gear.
You can go on Google Earth and look closely at the terrain (which it sounds like you've already done.) Should be fun. It'll also be quite cold at night, but you're from England so you are pretty much impervious to cold I'd imagine.

I'll warn that the route from LeConte to Corcoron is not easy to follow. Secor's description is decent, but it still requires good routefinding skills. I don't know how you plan to climb Corcoron but to my knowledge this is the most common route.

I don't know if you plan on climbing LeConte, if not I would certainly recommend it. The small 4th class section is really no big deal and its a beautiful peak! :D
