What qualifies a Sierra peak to be on SPS list?

Every Sierra peak the Sierra Club (SPS section) deems worthwhile... meaning it's subjective

I don't think it actually has strict, objective criteria for putting it on the list, but I might stand corrected

Here's the history of the SPS list, for those interested.

If you think the SPS list is arbitrary then go look at the OGUL list.

Mt Fillmore? Seriously?

Hey! I just hiked that Wednesday! Cool viewpoint, actually, not a terrible hike . . . but it was less than a mile, too

Not true. They added Caltech in 2008.

You should have made a photocopy.

We did, 100 of them. Never heard how they sold, maybe they threw them all away. You could just talk to me to have a peak put on that list, we had a public comment period.

Then apparently it was not stolen.

Copyright infringement. It appears unauthorized (by me) at several websites. All that research and climbing, and I never even get credit!

If you wrote it for them, then it would seem you are not the holder of the copywrite.

Assuming a list can be copywrited, which it cannot.
