Wow! I have a friends and family pass and was planning on using it this weekend. Perhaps I'll wait for the rest of the gear-whores to clear out!

The store is on Harbor Way.

With my "pass" I can also order online at 50% off! I only go to the store to try it on then order from the web! This will be my third pass this year. I HATE paying retail!

I have been lucky. I have the same deal with Gregory packs after my disaster on Denali!

Hip belt attachement point in the back exploded at camp 17. The result was my carrying a full pack (60#) and dragging a sled with no support and all the weight on my shoulders from 17 to KIA. Gregory was great, full refund, new design pack etc...And, a PRO CARD for one year!

GONNA be a zoo tomorrow, similar to the Marmot Open House!! Think I'll wait it out and go hiking up Hood instead!

At the risk of thread hijack, this seems to have been a pretty common problem for Gregory packs of a certain production run. We almost had to bail on a Liberty Ridge climb last year when the same failure occured to one of our party on the approach to Curtis Ridge. Luckily, the duck tape repair held for the next couple days...

Agreed, same thing happened to a buddy on our Shasta climb. Duct tape did not work for me on Denali! Gregory was very upfront that it was their issue and have bent over backwards to keep me as a customer. Great customer service. New pack gets its first shake-out in a headlamp hike tonight!

marmot sale is even more chaotic. Unless you get in the pre-sale the night prior :-)
