Aside from J Tree and Tahquitz, what is your favorite Southern California spot for trad climbing?
New to California and thinking the former is likely crowded this weekend and the later not (comfortably) in season.

If you like crack climbing 10+ then you could go to Woodson. Alot of the classics there are just very difficult. Also the routes are short, and the first time you go it is a bit of a labyrinth finding the routes.

Mt. Woodson is a great area. I'd trade Stoney Point in a NY minute for it, but it's mostly bouldering and toproping and a little out of the way unless you're already down in that direction, say Orange County or further south.

You really don't have a lot of options, though, which is probably why you're asking. If you want to climb, just go to Josh and get off the beaten track. Go to the Comic Book, Baskerville Rocks, etc.,--really any place without bolted route or ones that you can easily toprope--and you'll probably be the only ones there.

El Cajon Mtn for sure! Be ware of chopped bolts though. Always enjoy climbing here late winter/early spring; in fact we climbed there in Dec and had a beautifully warm sunny day.
Also Holcomb Valley Pinnacles; mix of sport and trad. Lake Arrowhead Pinnacles has a few gems as well but the approach kinda blows.
