A couple buddies of mine just completed the traverse a couple weeks ago in 3 days from the car, with a bivy at 14k.

Nice work dudes!

That's seriously bad-ass. I think "I want to do that someday," then I realize that I totally lack the khram...

Outstanding adventure PullHarder dudes! Thanks for sharing.
I remember watching Konstantin lead Hidden Arch at Josh about a year ago, that boy can climb…….even with half a ebola lung

wowzers!

This is high on my to do list, along with completing Black Kaweah in the winter. About a year ago, I had consulted with one of my outdoor partners about the possibility of doing the Palisade traverse in the winter, and of course got a typical wussie response which deflated the prospects. But now I can revisit the issue with renewed vigor, seeing that it has been done!

Fuckin A! Nice. I would put in a vote that they got the FWA of that section....

A partner and I went from southfork pass to the north side of Norman Clyde a few winters ago (with the intent to go alllll the way...)and we had to bivy 3 times! Powder snow on 3rd/4th clas might as well have been 5.12 rock. ugh.

I posted this thread to an older supertopo winter traverse thread:
