We have secured an overnight permit to climb Mount Whitney via the Mountaineer's Route in August. I used to frequent the Whitney Portal forum, but have been unable to access it recently. Has the Whitney Portal Store Forum been discontinued?

At some point some of them defected or something and went over here:

A while back, I could not get on their forum at all. Then I clicked a link to a thread in Whitney Portal Message Board that someone had posted here on Summitpost. The link worked and I've been able to view the message board ever since.

We formed the non-profit Mt Whitney Hikers Association and the new site after the old site owner pulled all the beginner orientation notes and blocked those who were building the information.

Our goal is to provide a website where everyone can freely share information, without outside commercial or individual influence.

It would be great if everyone would help support the new site.
