A Tribute to Glen Dawson on His 99th Birthday

Some of you folks might be interested in checking out a simple book that I put together to celebrate Glen's 99th on June 3. It's 40 pages of mostly Glen's photos from the historic Sierra climbing of 1931. It came out reasonably nice but costs too much even after leaving my cut at zero. Check it out anyway here:

Thanks for sharing that. I really enjoy seeing old pictures of our Sierra climbing pioneers, and those are some gems you have on your website! :D

In 1978 ,John Fischer & I found a 1930 first ascent record by Dawson & Eichorn on the summit of Bivouac Peak in the Palisades .It was signed twice by Don Jenson in the 1960s. It was the only first ascent record still in place that I've seen in 60+ years of climbing in the Sierra .
