Bear Creek Spire and Mount Dade Trip Report
The snow is fairly consolidated except the higher sun-exposed elevations with the worst post-holing above 13,000 feet. Snowshoes are no longer necessary. Snow patches are melting fast around Long Lake with continuous snow beginning after Gem Lakes. Treasure Lakes and Gem Lakes are still mostly frozen. The hourglass was soft in the early afternoon making for a fine glissade descent. It still looks wintry west of the crest!
