The Evolution Traverse (5.9 VI) is widely considered the greatest of the Sierra ridge traverses. After making the traverse for the first time, Peter Croft is said to have remarked, "it is the best traverse I have ever done." Join us at Caltech in Pasadena on Tuesday, November 1, 8:15 pm as Michelle Peot, also known as fossana on SummitPost, tells us of her journey across the magnificent ridge that has thwarted so many other capable climbers. The Caltech Alpine Club is hosting this event for free (no tickets required); there will be food, drinks, and good company, so come join us for this awesome talk!
There are more details (including location and directions) on the event page. You don't have to RSVP, but if you do, I can make sure to get enough food and drink! See the Facebook page for RSVPs.
