Blacksmith Creek - Northern Yosemite

Has anyone been up Blacksmith Creek, specifically to climb Eocene Peak from the north? Secor describes class 2 routes from the south and west, but those involve a bit longer approach. The guidebook is silent on other approaches. If anyone has a picture of the west end of the Sawtooth Ridge from Blacksmith Creek in summer or fall, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I've been up Blacksmith Canyon to Glacier Lake. Also been up Blacksmith Canyon then forked left up to Avalanche Lake. I also went partway up then turned right and climbed to the saddle north of Mt. Walt and hiked up to the peak (Mt. Walt) that way. I should be able to post some pics showing Eocene (also on my list btw) after work today.

Closer view of the peak. These first two are from 2004.

Glad I could help. I look forward to seeing your trip report sometime in the future.
