Hoping to cross Cataract and Dumbbell Passes from the North in a little over a week. Does anyone have an update on the snow conditions? In particular, what's the situation with the typical cornice on Cataract?

Alternatively, has anyone been over Frozen Lake Pass this season?

We didn't have time to check out Cataract or Dumbell, but Frozen Lake was passable with no special equipment on 7/1/12. The lake itself was not even frozen. We had to walk a couple hundred meters over the permanent snow field, but the snow was soft and easily navigable.
