Looking to climb something off the beaten track and escape the crowds in the Valley? Ever wondered what "the other Yosemite Valley" is like? Come and join Muir's Climb on Aug 3-4 at Hetch Hetchy.

Muir’s Climb is an opportunity to climb and experience the beauty of one of Yosemite National Park’s less-visited areas, while helping support Restore Hetch Hetchy’s efforts to bring the Hetch Hetchy Valley back to its former grandeur. It is in memory of John Muir, who died having lost the battle to prevent one of his favorite havens in the Park from being flooded.

We will be getting together to climb, build on the scant beta, topos and photos that exist, and maybe even put up a few new routes ;) It's time for the climbing community to take a stand and reclaim the lost access, pitches and beauty.

Restore Hetch hetchy will be offering t-shirts, food and camping for the nights of August 3rd and 4th. For more details and to register, see here:

Hi all,

A reminder to come to Yosemite on Aug3/4 for Muir's Climb. We will gather on Fri (Aug 3) and start out early on Sat (Aug 4) to squeeze in as much climing as we can before the day heats up.

For a $25 registration fee, Restore Hetch Hetchy will be offering t-shirts, camping at Hodgdon Meadow for the nights of Aug3&4, and dinner on Aug3.
