Emigrant Wilderness - Cherry Creek Canyon

I am looking to do a three day backpack into Cherry Creek Canyon next week. Seriously need some backcountry time to sooth my soul! Any trail head information and itinerary recommendations would be greatly appreciated. (Bob Burd, I am hoping to hear from you as I am sure you know!)

Matthew Holliman is your guy. I thought Bob too but it's Matthew per PM from Bob. I've been interested as well in that area and Mercur/Bartlett Peaks. Hopefully next June.

Thank you. I just realized Bob is out doing the Sierra Challenge. I don't know Matthew, but I imagine he is in the mountains as well. Not looking to leave until August 16, so there's still time to get in touch with them.

Did you make into Cherry Creek Canyon? We're planning a trip there next weekend and would love to hear any info on conditions, route suggestions, etc. Cheers...

I'm heading to the Emigrant Wilderness Area next weekend. I hear it is very dry this year.
