Approaching Voodoo Dome

Hope to get on White Punks on Dope next weekend but really want to approach from Kernville side if it's shorter and less painful. Anyone done this approach got good beta for trail?

Not sure what you mean by "next weekend" but the Needles are going to be closed through October 2 for the tower clean up: http://www.supertopo.com/climbers-forum ... es-Closure

The closure includes Voodoo Dome. I was supposed to be going out there this weekend but the closure has pretty much shot that down.

Go and get on Dome Rocks South Face Deb. Plenty of good ass hard shet there. Trust me.

We're still going, after much hemming and hawing. Although the Needles is clearly the big draw, between Dome Rock and Hermit Spire (not to mention the post climb beers and steak down at the cabin afterward), it won't suck.

Voodoo is lower in elevation and south facing, so October might be perfect for WPOD.
