Snow levels down to 7500ft predicted for this weekend, which I presume would be accompanied by a temporary closure of all of the seasonal passes if the storm hits that far north.

Seems like a glorious weekend in the forecast for Yosemite Valley. Great temperatures, no rain.

The Whites behind my house got somewhere in the 4-6" range as well the Sierra Crest west of Bishop. Temps are supposed to go back up today into the high 70's low 80's. I imagine that the passses will reopen today sometime through next weekend when the next series of fronts start coming through according the long range GFS.

All in all it was a very refreshing day yesterday with the lower temps and morning rain.

Farmers Almanac is calling for a wet Nov-Dec-Jan here in the Eastern SIerra so best get out there and get it before the pattern gets consistent and the passes do close for the season.

The Eastern Sierra Crest from my front yard yesterday around noon:

Caught the first snow on San Jacinto yesterday! Began right at noon, and by 2PM there was 3" at Little Round Valley Campground. So cool!

Nothing in Tahoe at lake level or at 7k. Looks like Jobs/Freel got a dusting above 9k.

We had snow in the Spring Mts just 15 miles west of Vegas, 4" at about 9000'.

I was in the Hualapai Mts S of Kingman AZ, saw a bit of snow on ground at 7500', but the snow was mainly melted by afternoon. The San Francisco Peaks far to the east (near Flagstaff) looked pretty snowy.
