Acutually the temps have been dipping down into the high 20F's for a few hours in the morning, not 55F. But yeah, folks here in Southern Calif are whimps. Heck, I get up and go bicycle riding/jogging in 30F temps; love those first 10 minutes when my face feels like its gonna freeze, just like on a cold peak . What we haven't had is a lot of snow - the storms that have come across Southern Calif have only dropped some light snow and rain. Luckly there's the Sierra Nevada Mtns.
