Mt. San Jacinto- Snow Creek

I've been stuck at sea for three weeks. How does the Snow Creek route on San Jacinto look? Still good snow cover? The San J forum has month old info saying micro spikes and hike up. But there have been two snow falls since that was written. How's the avalanche forecast, late in the season, but worth an ask, don't want to turn a nice climb into a holy crap day for a friend new to climbing. Thanks.

Google the local forums for this one, you'll probably find better info

Deb,

Sorry for the late reply. I live life as far from the interwub as possible ;-)

I'm on the Carl Vinson. We just got out of the yards, so it's been a Haz-ex of drills, work-up and inspections. Thanks goodness I'm in SoCal with so much climbing and hiking around to decompress my brain.

Ha! My last cruise was on Shakey Chuck - 2003. Enjoy your altitude training with sea legs. Head for San G, Snow Creek does not look good.
