Best First Sierra Climbs

I'm heading up to the Sierras next weekend to try and do my first alpine climb. Right now the plan is to do the North Ridge of Lone Pine Peak, but I'm worried I might be taking on a longer route than I can accomplish in a day. What other beginner routes would people recommend? I've already done the Chimney variation on NPal, but that was more of a scramble than an actual climb
I'm looking for
- A long grade II or short grade III
- 5.7 or easier (i want this to be more about getting used to climbing in the mountains v. how hard I can crank)
- No ice climbing
- Further south preferable
Thanks!
