Made it to Gayley camp a week back but it snowed a foot on us. However, it was just a passing front. With this warm weather you're going to be good. No snow until the drainage up to sam mack. Posthole glory from there on out.

Came down from Middle Palisade yesterday. Almost no snow up to the glacier. We used crampons to cross the glacier. The bergschrunds start to open up. All snow on the route could be avoided on 3rd/4th class rock.

Anyone been up around Lamarck Col, Bishop/Muir/Piute passes or Mt. Agassiz? Gonna be doing the North/South Lake loop the week of 6/22.

Ran up to Piute Pass area last Saturday. Not much snow until the last bit to the pass. Easy enough going in running shoes. No big deal.

Thanks Scott. I'm planning on running to Piute Pass Thurs and was wondering about that last section up and over the pass. Gotta get me 13 miles out of it. :)

Great windy day for a Sierra half marathon over Piute Pass. Too many backpackers though! Snow certainly wasn't an issue but the water flowing across the trail was hard to avoid in a few places.

Any update a month later on the Parker Pass drainage area? Looks like in mid-May it was still pretty socked in, in some areas. Planning to do a day tour of that area at the end of next week, and want to know what to expect, or bring. Hopefully still too early for skeeters, hehe!

Does anybody have updated beta on Thunderbolt's SW chute? Any snow left? I'm wondering if crampons would be helpful or is the snow easily avoidable

Curious if anyone has any info on how much snow is left over New/Old Army passes?

Thanks.
