If you're bored, you can always go post something useful. Otherwise, for those still interested, here is another one:

I would have to take a gamble to identify these rocks - and I'm no good at gambling, so I always wind up in the red.

I think you would be wise to take this wager.

I wouldn't have figured this one out without coldfoot's hints. Coldfoot or Bubba should spill the beans, so we can do another one.

Bubba, you must not have taken all these on one trip. Unless your pilot was taking the scenic route.

Ok. It is Red Rocks NCA in Nevada, just west of Las Vegas.

One round trip flight to Dallas and back from Oakland. I could have had a lot more, but it was actually cloudy most of the trip but I was able to snap some cool shots whenever the clouds broke.

Ok. Here is the next one. It is a gimme:

Correct. Ok, one more gimme before a couple of hard ones:

Get specific on this one!

How specific?

California?

Inyo National Forest?

John Muir Wilderness?

Keep going?

Wheeler Ridge with Mount Morgan on the left foreground, with Mount Tom behind? Mount Mills in the center?

It's tough for me to be sure on some of the peaks further in the background. Those more familiar with the area probably can point out some. Maybe some of the peaks in King's Canyon/Sequoia are discernable.

That is good enough. I was hoping someone would point out Courtright Reservoir. My wife's family has a cabin there. Ok, so now for the first in a series of harder ones:

I thought this one would go quickly. There is a tell-tale outline visible. Its in New Mexico.

Correct.

Obviously this thread is running its course, but here is another. I have one more after this:

That's got to be back in California. Western slope of the Sierra? I know somebody can get more specific than that, but am I on the right track?

Warm.
