Blue Ridge Parkway-- page revised

Hello all,

After much consideration, I thought it would be better to change my page from covering the Blue Ridge as a whole to the Parkway itself. The focus is on the mountains along and immediately adjacent to the Parkway.

In the process, I had to detach several mountain pages and add others, and I had to detach over 50 images no longer relevant to the page. If you added any pictures expressly for the page and they are now detached, I apologize, but there are a number of flora and fauna albums and other pages where your images would be good additions. And you are always free to make an album or other page on your own, of course.

I hope those of you interested in the region will visit the newly done page. Any constructive feedback will be welcome.

I never looked at the previous Blue Ridge Parkway page, but this one looks pretty good. Lots of useful info and pictures.

I'd like to see more info on camping off the Blue Ridge - maybe some backcountry spots and not campgrounds.

Those are some great shots you posted! I'll be sure to revisit and read up on hikes and such.

Bob,
Nice job on the revision. An awesome 470 mile drive (or ride).

For a reference, the Falcon Guide to Hiking The Blue Ridge Parkway is a nice travel guide. Plenty of good info for people looking to make so many of those short hikes that are accessible right from the Parkway.

I'm considering adding a short TR to your page from my bike trip back in 82 - (considering there are no TRs)!

As always, great work.
Mark
