I'll second French Creek, I hike there all the time. I'd suggest the mountain bike trails on the southeast side of the park. The terrain is a little more varied and interesting.

I did end up out at french creek state park. I did the boone trail. In the parks guide it said this trail hit the top 6 attractions. The only things I noted were a fire tower and hopewell lake. The forest was very thick though so maybe I didn't see the rest. Wow the thick air and humidity though - Hadn't been to the east coast for awhile and forgot I had to chew the air before breathing it! Made it to delaware and New jersey state highpoints. New Jerey's was surronded in mist and I felt like I was in a jungle, it was so thick I couldn't see the top of the monument. I didn't make it Pat's or geno's which is too bad because the other cheesesteaks I had were dissapointing. Maybe next time, I think I'll back within a year or so and maybe explore some things in the water gap. Cheers and thanks to those who provided info.
