Northeast rain

The mid-Atlantic got absolutely nailed with tropical moisture yesterday and last night. It's now headed up through New England. We had six inches of rain in the gauge at our house (Delaware) overnight. Rivers are flooded, roads are closed, and a few bridges are out. Suggest anyone planning an outing in the Northeast this weekend call ahead to check on local conditions. The weather's supposed to turn fine, but it will take a while for the streams to go down and roads to re-open. Hopefully this is intuitive, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to post the warning.

Mr friend is taking his 11 yo daughter to Camels Hump to intro her to camping/hiking today. Woods is gonna be wet. Fact is, we get hit with a lot of hurricane remnants this time of year here in the East. Probably the leaves will be pretty well pounded down.

Possible wet snow for Saturday night for the western mountains in Maine.
