Remember the four rules of Alpinism:

On the more serious side, I just wanted to drop my two cents on the carins. I have heard more than one story of people who have been on the Alpine Garden in white outs so deep they couldn't see the next carin. Remember, a map and compass save lives!

Don't forget those two who died in that white out trying to down hike from the summit. Fell, lost their packs, and then froze to death. It's terrible, and it happens. Be prepared, be safe, stay alive.
