Lots of snow

Plenty of fresh snow at higher elevations in the Adirondack and Green Mtns. I encountered 8-10 inches at 3700 feet on Monday. Reports of up to a couple of feet in the ADK high peaks. Snow line on my hike was at 2800-3000 feet. Bizarre for this time of year. It will melt quickly now, but until it does please careful out there!

The best side effect is ZERO black flies. Don't know how long it will last...but I am LOVING it!

Great adventure climbing the Seward Range yesterday. Almost all of the snow is gone. Just patches on the ridge. LOTS of mud and running water everywhere, not surprisingly. Also not surprisingly, the biting insects are waking up with the warm temperatures.

Anita, thanks for the pics. I will post a trip report from our Seward Range adventure as soon as I have a little free time.
