Headed up to the ADKS this weekend for a little R&R and hiking. Hope the great weather forecast holds!

Peak color in the mountains here is typically the end of October; along the river it's a week or two later. I'm hiking in Shenandoah this weekend, but doubt I'll bring a camera - just way too early.

Sorry for out of the topic questions but I’ve just noticed that some people on this page have illogical numbers of posts and thanks in posts. For example:

Posts: 153
Thanked: 800 times in 510 posts

Posts: 229
Thanked: 500 times in 344 posts

How can the # of posts a person was thanked in be greater than the # of posts the person posted? Is it because the post counter was reset after reaching a certain limit?

I think it should be according to this formula:
0 <= posts <= infinity
0 <= thanks <= infinity
0 < in posts <= posts

Posts in Off Route don't count towards your post total but if you get "thanked," the thanks and the specific post counts in the lower section. Basically two different fields. So, um, anita, Buz and I all post a lot in O-R. :oops:

What you mean by “Off Route”?

Back to topic :-) Fantastic day summitting Seymour (Adirondacks) yesterday (#39) with my buddy Jim. Perfect weather...reasonably dry trail conditions...I'd say the colors in the lower elevations are a little before peak and will probably be peak next weekend. We helped Cynthia from Albany celebrate her 46 completion on the summit. Very cool!

Gorgeous weekend in Keene Valley. Sunny, warm, no clouds, no bugs.. Couldn't ask for more.
