Starting to feel like I'm not suppose to climb!!

I only get 1 day a week to climb, Thursday. Occasionally I get out on a weekend, maybe once a month. Every Thursday for the last 2 months it has rained, seriously. (there was 1 exception)

So last night I said fuck it, I'm going to break down and go to the gym in Milwaukee if it's raining. I get to Milwaukee, spent 45 minutes trying to get across town, turned around and drove home. Basically the entire city was flooded and I could not find an open street to get across town. Starting to feel like someone is trying to tell me something. :x

Anyone else in the area feel this way??

I’m breaking down and redoing my boulder cave. If it rains, I’ll stay home.

I hear you. I'm counting on a perfect October/November, weather-wise.

It's almost 90 degrees in the Milwaukee area. Climbing in the rain won't kill ya (though you might want to stay off of run-out friction slabs).

I'm not a big fan of gear placements on wet limestone that's pretty much polished to begin with. I'll do lots of stuff in the rain but no climbing. That's some scary shit.

I'm not strong enough to climb the rock that stays dry in the rain. Actually, there's not a whole lot of severely overhanging rock around here nearer than the Red; Willow River might be the exception, based on descriptions I've heard.

Looks like rain again Wed. Good thing I bought some sticks last night. Looks like I might be building my cave this Thursday.

We have thought about moving for some time but it's just not in the cards. 2nd kid on the way and I don't want to loose out on all my free baby sitters. 8)

I've had a rib injury for over 5 weeks. Still sore. I'm losing my mind not climbing. My best friend just got into it too. I'll do like a v0 or v1 problem. Injured finger too.

Sorry to hear that man. Hope you heal up quick. I'll stop complaining about the weather as I obviously do not have it so bad.

Free babysitting, I wish I had that! I guess all I'm trying to say is that when I see the midwest being washed away day after day, I wish just one of those storms would come my way. Being sun-drenched for 360 days a year gets old too.

Yeah I would miss storms. Love sitting around watching lightening and listening to thunder from my porch. I lived in Chico for a while in Northern Cali but there were still some good storms up there.

Grandmas are great for free babysitting. Both our moms live within a few miles so it’s just pretty convenient. I was holding out for a spot with my company to open up in Colorado but I think we are pretty firmly planted for some time.
