Having learned to lead at Wild Iowa during my college days at Grinnell in the mid 90s, this post makes me really sad that I'm out in Seattle and can't come help. That said, I dropped a note to the folks at Grinnell College's outdoor rec program, GORP, to let them know about this, so I hope you can get at least a few students to come out. Good luck!

There's usually a number of folk who hang out to climb for a while in the afternoon, come on over.

I've been to Iowa for work, (western side) numerous times and always asked where I could go see mountains... I was told that Iowa doesn't have mountains??

workday is on Sat.

Weather may not be all so good for climbing, but the workday is on and we'll get some tasks done. Aim for 9:00 a.m. per last year's schedule, though 9:30 would probably do.

As to mountains in Iowa, see Merrill Stierle's hoglot, the Iowa highpoint.
