I climb in the MR Mountains. They fit great and are pretty light. For $100 this sounds like a pretty good deal.

They say that the upper part is insulated. What about the sole?

These boots are too warm for me honestly, they would work better for colder temps and environment climbing wise.

As far as if the sole is insulated I cant say yes or no. I can say they are very warm and can handle cold temps very well. Standing around in a ice park or somewhere youre in snow/ice all day these would be the warmest I ever have had. Too bad I dont live somewhere like Ouray :?

The boots have been used 2 times for ice climbing, with shorter approaches. I rate them a very strong 8 out of 10 condition. No holes, rips, any abrasions or threats of the integrity of the boot. The inner part of the boot is in great shape as well; i never used a super feet system or anything like that so the insides are plush, ready to shape. Boots come with standard mad rock footbed.

As far as sizing, I have a low volume long foot with normal arches. These boots would be better for someone with a bit wider than my skinny feet. But the size 12 is very on with most other sizes. It compares well w other 12 sized mtneering boots size wise (Scarpa, Sportiva, etc.)

FWIW, I have 10.5 foot and wear 10.5 in the Mountain's. I have a normal US foot (a bit wide).

If the condition is as stated, this is a good deal. I have used the boots for ice climbing and winter climbing in Colorado and never suffered from cold feet. The only downside I have with the boots is that they are not light-weight boots. They aren't bad, but are only a couple of ounces lighter than the same size Koflach Verticals (double plastics). Still a good deal on a good winter boot.
