Where is there ice climbing in NY? The gunks? (I am actually curious since I get out there from time to time).

The Gunks did not have ice in years....and even when there was ice it was just in handful of places.
There is good ice in the Catskills, but my favorite area is the Adirondacks, there are bigger routes and more quantity.
Check out www.neice.com for more info.

Cheers

I'll be wherever the ice is on Saturday - cats if they come in, otherwise I'll make the drive to Pitchoff.
