I notice Mark Twight bailed on that in 2008. Now I can't find any Grivel gear from American suppliers. I loves me my G12s and want to get a set for my climbing buddy.

Does anyone have the backstory on why Grivel pulled out of North America?

If liberty doesnt have stock yet, the Mountaineer in Keene Valley, NY has been importing grivel since GNA went bye, bye. I've been able to get all sorts of spare parts and new stuff through them.

Also, here is Grivel's link to the US Shops that still import their stuff...

Wow, thanks, I didn't know so many retailers carried Grivel in the States.

I´ve heard the story from Mark himself: it´s a bit complicated but comes down to the fact that Grivel wanted to go head to head in the U.S. with BD but didn´t want to put resources into the market and Mark took a bath on the whole deal.
