I swapped out green superfeet for a pair of "Ed Viesturs" Sole heat-moldable footbeds in my leather boots several months ago, like them a lot so far. I'm now thinking of replacing the superfeet green insoles in my plastics, which have heat moldable inner boots, with a pair of Sole moldable footbeds. So my question is, what's the best order in which to mold both footbed and inner boot? I'm thinking I should heat the new insole and stick it in the existing inner boot, then reheat and remold the inner boot, wearing the now-molded footbed. The moldable footbeds take up volume differently than the superfeet green (I tried the ones from my leather boots inside my plastics and it wasn't comfortable) so I definetely want to remold the liners if I use new footbeds.

I could also try heat molding the liner and sticking the new footbed (unmolded) in the liner, since the molding temp for the footbed is lower and molding time shorter than the liner, on the assumption that the footbed will warm up enough from the hot liners to mold itself. As there's a limit to the number of times you can mold each, I thought I'd see if anyone else has tried one or the other of these approaches and how well they worked...

you could always get the heat moldable superfeet green footbeds if you like the superfeet, thats what im gunna do if I ever get a good pair of boots
